Sarkodie Featured by Bob Marley and The Wailers on ‘Stir it up’ Special Remake

Sarkodie, a hero of Ghanaian rap, collaborated with reggae legends Bob Marley and The Wailers to create a new version of Bob Marley’s famous song “Stir It Up,” which was released to ring in the new year. The Caribbean and Africa come together to create one of the most recognizable melodies in the world, giving us a sense of nostalgia and romance in the process.

This song was produced by MOG, and it features the trademark guitar strums and relaxing bounce that we all know and love, along with the legendary flow of Sarkodie. The musical “Stir It Up” will bring together people of different eras, continents, and more!

Bob Marley is widely regarded as one of the most iconic characters in contemporary music, and the magnitude of his impact cannot be overstated. The social activism and politically conscious lyrics of the Jamaican singer, musician, and composer are an inspiration, and they are merged with elements of lovers’ rock, ska, and rocksteady. Bob Marley was recognized as a pivotal figure in the development of reggae music and was honored with a posthumous induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994.

In December of 1999, his album “Exodus,” which was released in 1977, was awarded the title of “Album of the Century” by Time Magazine, and his song “One Love” was selected by the BBC as “Song of the Millennium.”

Sarkodie is widely regarded as one of the most successful African rappers of all time, with a career that has spanned close to 20 years. At the 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards, he became the first artist to receive the award for “Best International Flow.” Additionally, he was awarded the title of “Artiste of the Decade” at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

This tune, like all of Sarkodie’s others, features his distinctive tempo, cadence, and wit throughout the whole song.
