According to reports, a six-year-old girl who was hospitalized after having a snake wrapped around her neck for almost two hours is doing fine. The snake bit the toddler on the arm as a snake handling expert was extracting it from the child’s neck. The girl was bitten by the snake in the arm, according to numerous legends.

A local news organization recorded the horrific incident, which was then published to YouTube where it has had more than 21,000 views as of the time this article was written.

According to The International Business Times, the incident allegedly took place on September 12 in the Indian state of Maharashtra.

The victim, Purvi Gadkari, was told to keep her cool so as not to attract the snake’s attention. Before a snake charmer arrived and assisted Gadraki in releasing the cobra that was coiled around his neck, she was able to maintain her composure for more than two hours. She was dealing with a lot of pressure at that point. The child was able to survive.
