Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO), running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, has promised that the government will soon announce the producer price of cocoa beans for the 2024/2025 season.
During his campaign trip to the Ahafo Region’s Asunafo South and North constituencies, he pleaded with cocoa farmers to remain vigilant and not let the National Democratic Congress (NDC) mislead them about crop pricing.

He unequivocally said that the NPP administration is the most concerned with their well-being.
At a campaign event in Nobekaw, Asunafo South Constituency, Dr. Opoku Prempeh praised incumbent MP Eric Opoku for his work on cocoa and agricultural concerns on behalf of the NPP.
“In the last seven years, the NPP has raised cocoa from 400 cedis to over 2,000 cedis. The price of cocoa will soon rise again, giving farmers more money,” he said.
