Davido to Make First Stage Appearance Since Son’s Death at Closing Ceremony

David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, is a popular singer from Nigeria who will play at the closing ceremony of the Qatar 2022 World Cup. The ceremony will take place in Qatar.

Since the death of his son Ifeanyi, the music celebrity has stayed away from social media and has not made any public appearances, with the exception of attending his uncle Ademola Adeleke's inauguration ceremony. On the other hand, it has just come to light that he will be performing in Qatar.

Thursday was the day when Chinese entrepreneur Stephen Hung took to Instagram to break the news to his followers there.

Hung expressed his excitement at the news in a tweet, writing, “So delighted my bro #davido confirmed he will be performing at the World Cup closing ceremony in Qatar.” I can't wait until we finally get to chat there.

A celebration to honor the conclusion of the World Cup will take place on the 18th of December.

Kizz Daniel, a Nigerian singer, also performed at the World Cup Fans Festival in Qatar. He delighted the crowd with his hit song, “Buga,” which was played during his set.

In the video that was uploaded on social media, the delighted audience could be seen dancing and shouting at the screen.

Another Nigerian musician, Patoranking, performed at the FIFA Fan Festival that took place at Al Bidda Park in Doha the week before last.
