Players You Probably Did Not Know Were Teammates

These are lists of players Whom You Probably Were Not Aware Had Been On The Same Team Before.

1. Mikel Arteta And Ronaldinho (Paris Saint-Germain).

Year: 2001 – 2002.

Mikel Arteta’s career was just beginning to take shape when he received the opportunity to play with Ronaldinho at Paris Saint-Germain. The manager of Arsenal was on loan to Paris Saint-Germain in 2001 from Barcelona. It was then that he met Ronaldinho, who was already a brilliant star at the club. Both players only played together for one season before going their own ways.

2. Yaya Toure And Rivaldo (Olympiacos)

Year: 2005 – 2006

During Yaya Toure’s prime, he was able to play alongside one of the all-time greats in football, Rivaldo, at Olympiacos. In 2005, the Ivorian International made the move to Olympiacos, where he was able to join forces with Rivaldo, who at that point in his career was still playing at the top level possible. Both players spent a single season at the club playing together as teammates.

3. Arturo Vidal And Toni Kroos (Bayern Leverkusen).

Year: 2009 – 2010.

In 2009, Toni Kroos, a member of the Bayern Munich Junior squad, went on loan to Bayer Leverkusen. There, he joined Arturo Vidal, who was already establishing a name for himself at the club, and the two became teammates. Before Toni Kroos returned to Bayern Munich, which was his parent club at the time, the two players only played together for a single season.

4. Jesse Lingard and Harry Kane  (Leicester City).

Year: 2013.

As a result of the limited playing time they were given at the club in 2013, both players were loaned to Leicester City from their previous clubs. Before their respective loan stints at Leicester City came to an end, they spent a season playing beside one another on the same field.

5. Samuel Eto’o And Kevin De Bruyne (Chelsea).

Year: 2013 – 2014

Samuel Eto’o was a well-known player when Kevin De Bruyne, who was serving as a substitute for Chelsea at the time, was able to watch him play for the Blues. Even though they didn’t play together on the same pitch very often during the season, they were both teammates for that entire season.
