Pablo Carreno Busta defeated British No. 2, Dan Evans, in the Canadian Open semifinals in Montreal.

The two will compete against Neal Skupski of Britain and Wesley Koolhof of Simona Halep of Romania defeated Jessica Pegula of America, the seventh seed, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4, to get to the final of the women’s tournament in Toronto.

In the other semifinal, Beatriz Haddad Maia of Brazil defeated 2021 finalist Karolina Pliskova 6-4, 7-6 (9-7) to advance to face Halep in her quest for a third Canadian Open victory. the Netherlands.
