Mahama Sets Date to Launch Presidential Campaign, Check out where and when

On Thursday, March 2, 2023, former President John Dramani Mahama will kick off his campaign in an effort to head the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as its flagbearer in the general elections that will take place in 2024. His bid for this position was announced on February 28, 2023.

The former head of state is one of four people who want to be the leader of the NDC. The other three are Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, a former finance minister; Kojo Bonsu, a former mayor of Kumasi; and Ernest Kobeah, a 43-year-old businessman based in the United Kingdom. Kojo Bonsu is the only one of the four who is not a current politician.

The National Democratic Coalition (NDC), which is the main opposition party, started accepting nominations for presidential candidates on February 22 and stopped doing so on February 24.

The launch of the “Building the Ghana we want together” campaign for John Mahama 2023 will take place in the Cedi Auditorium at the University of Health and Allied Sciences in Ho in the Volta Region, which is the NDC’s heartland. The slogan for the campaign is “Building the Ghana we want together.”

Meanwhile, the party’s presidential primaries are scheduled to take place on May 6, 2023, according to expectations.
