John Dramani Mahama, a potential candidate for president under the banner of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), will get back to work on his electioneering across the country on Tuesday, following the Easter celebrations, by paying a three-day visit to the Eastern Region.
Mr. Mahama would travel to 31 different constituencies in order to meet and interact with the executives of both branches and constituencies there. Up to this point, he has traversed seven regions, making stops in a total of 106 constituencies.
In the Eastern Region, former President Mahama will deliver a speech in which he will discuss his vision of “building the Ghana we want together” and the reasons why obtaining a convincing win in the NDC primaries will be a huge boost for the 2024 presidential election.
In addition, Mahama will discuss the importance of securing a win in the 2024 presidential election.
In addition, he will talk about what he plans to do to improve the party’s campaign in the polling places and voting areas through voter mobilization, canvassing, and making good use of campaign materials and resources.
Mr. Mahama has set up a program to give rewards to party branches that get more votes at their polling stations in both legislative and presidential elections. The program would reward branches that increase their votes at polling stations.
On Friday, April 14, after spending the night in the Oti Region, former President Mahama will leave for the Greater Accra Region in the morning in order to spend the day touring several constituencies in the Greater Accra Region.
