GFA awaits CAF’s decision on stadiums after inspection—Kurt Okraku

Following their visit of Accra and Cape Coast stadiums for the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, the Ghana Football Association are “waiting for CAF” on their verdict.

According to Joysports sources, CAF officials were in Ghana over the weekend to check the two stadiums at the Ministry of Sports’ request.

CAF has banned the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, which hosted Ghana’s previous game against Angola, citing inadequate quality of the ground.

Mr. Chairman, we are waiting for CAF.

We wait for CAF; we have worked hard. The professionals inside us have been there; I should not comment on their report to me.

“I will wait for CAF to speak.”

Having one point from two games, the Black Stars challenge Sudan on October 11 in search of their first victory of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Ghana dropped 1-0 to Angola then drew 1-1 against Niger, ranking third in Group F.
