FIFA RANKINGS: Ghana moves up three places in latest FIFA World Rankings

The most recent FIFA Men’s Football World Rankings were just revealed following the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and Ghana came in at position 58 on the list.

On the list of 211 nations that are members of the association, Ghana is now ranked higher than it was previously.

Ghana Black Stars played in the group stage of the tournament, when they were up against teams such as Portugal, South Korea, and Uruguay.

In spite of suffering defeats to Portugal and Uruguay in the Group H competition in Qatar, the Black Stars were able to climb up three spots in the rankings thanks to a victory over South Korea by a score of 3-2.

Ghana came into this year’s World Cup as the lowest-rated team (61st), but the Black Stars’ three-game run in Qatar has helped to enhance the country’s point tally.

Despite the fact that it won the World Cup, Argentina was unable to unseat Brazil from the top spot in the rankings. As a result, Argentina had to settle for second place, while fellow finalist France took the third spot.

After a dismal performance in Qatar, Spain is currently positioned 10th in the standings, behind Belgium and England. Belgium and England round out the top five spots.

The most significant improvements were made by Morocco and Australia following their performances at the World Cup. Morocco’s Atlas Lions created history by finishing fourth in Qatar.

Now ranked 11th in the world, Morocco is ahead of Australia, which is ranked 27th.
