With the signing of a new contract with Chelsea, England defender Millie Bright will remain with the Women’s Super League winners for a further three years. The 28-year-old is the team’s longest-tenured player and joined the Blues from Doncaster Rovers Belles in 2014.
Bright, who has 58 England caps, took part in each of the Lionesses’ six games during their victory at Euro 2022 last month. Bright said, “I can’t wait to keep competing for more trophies.”
Paul Green, the general manager of Chelsea, said: “We are ecstatic that Millie has agreed to a new deal.” We are pleased with how far she has gone and all of her accomplishments, especially her most recent, and the way she leads on and off the field, which is second to none.
Bright has helped Chelsea win 12 major titles, including six in the WSL, four in the FA Cup, and two in the Continental Cup.
