Hon. Kwame Obeng Agyina, a native of Bassengele, a town in the Bibiani Ahwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region, has renovated the Community Health Planing Service (CHPS) facility and also bought five modern beds and other equipment for a round-up sum of Gh₵ 50,000.
Speaking with AkuapemHann, Mr. Agyina indicated that the day marks his birthday and further explained the motive behind his philantropic gesture.
Esther Fosu, the in-charge of the Bassengele health facility, expressed their profound gratitude to the donor and indicated how this renovation and donation would be of help to the facility and the community at large.
In his speech, the chief of the area (Bassengele) Nana Kwasi Ato Ware II, in his speech, asked for divine blessings for the philanthropist, urging others to emulate what Hon. Agyina has done for his community.
The assembly member for Bassengele electoral area, Hon. Collins Berchie, also had this to say.
