Kojo Yankah vows to stop Ghana FA elections

Kojo Yankah, a candidate for the presidency of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has stated his dissatisfaction with the GFA administration that is now in place, following the publication of the roadmap for the 2018 elections.

After nominations were accepted for a period of four days, from August 7 to 11, the Election Committee of the GFA announced that the Elective Congress, which aimed to elect the GFA president for the next four years, would take place on September 27. This comes after nominations were accepted over the period of August 7 to 11.

Kojo Yankah vows to stop Ghana FA elections

Mr. Yankah, who had served as the head of the Western Regional Football Association and as an executive council member under the government of Kwesi Nyantakyi, believes that the current arrangements that have been established are not favourable to persons who have ambitions of running for president in the upcoming election.

In an interview with Onua Sports, Mr. Yankah made a solemn promise to prevent the elections from taking place. He said the following: “The Elections will not come on, and if they do, something tragic will happen.”

“Kurt is afraid of me, and I am the reason why they are acting in such a manner; however, I will see to it that the elections do not take place.” He said, “Kurt is lacking in integrity, and as a result, he will lose the elections.”

A few months ago, Yankah said that he would like to run for the presidency of the GFA in the upcoming election.
