Earps participated in all but one of Bristol's games in the 2014 and 2015 seasons. Earps left Bristol to join Reading after Bristol was demoted at the conclusion of her second season. Earps received PFA Team of the Year recognition in her first year at Reading.

United lost 1-0. On September 28, 2019, she recorded her first clean sheet for the team in a 2-0 victory over Liverpool, the team's first FA WSL triumph. Earps renegotiated his contract with Manchester United on February 26, 2021, extending it until 2023 with an additional year's option.

In Antalya, Turkey, during the 2012 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship, Mary Earps represented England's under-19 team.
