Emily Evels started playing football at FV Lochgau and afterward moved to the United States in 2012, where she burned through two years at Shattuck St. Mary’s High School in Minnesota, where she was a member of the school’s varsity football crew.

In the late spring of 2014, she signed an agreement with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim that was for a period of two years. She was in fact a member of the list for the second team, yet she played all of the pre-season games with the Bundesliga club.

After beginning the season with two appearances in the second division, Evels made her debut in the Bundesliga on September 21, 2014 (matchday 3) against FC Bayern Munich.
