Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has returned to Ghana following intensive medical treatment in the United Kingdom.
Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang’s arrival brings an end to her medical leave, during which she sought further care in the United Kingdom following an initial visit at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC).
President John Dramani Mahama expressed relief and appreciation for the vice president’s recovery while on his Thank You Tour in Dodowa on Friday, May 16.
“I am pleased to report that I spoke with her yesterday morning, and she will be back in the nation before the end of next week. “By God’s grace, she has fully recovered and will return to her duties,” he declared.
Meanwhile, the vice president’s health sparked widespread worry, with some speculating about her possible death.
However, government authorities, including spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu, confirmed that she was in good health.
