Thousands stroll with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Public Wellness Day

VP Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has approached Ghanaians to use practise as a device to further develop their effectiveness and eliminate their wellbeing costs, especially in this grim period. He has also urged the public to prioritise their health by engaging in regular exercise.

The VP expressed this at the press release of the Public Stay in Shape Day at the Accra Sports Arena on Saturday morning. The event is scheduled to take place on the second Saturday of every month across the country.

The walk was attended by a large number of health and wellness enthusiasts, including Lord of the Ga state, Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, Sports Priest Mustapha Yusif, proficient cyclists, soccer groups from some selected second cycle schools in the greater Accra region, previous title holder Azuma Nelson, and a few lawmakers.

The wellness fans were taken through some vigorous exercise when they combined at the Accra Sports Arena, where the dignitaries alternated to address the members.

The Ga Mantse in a short comment of deference proclaimed that ”the Public Wellness Day has come to remain”. Alhaji Haruna Abdulai, former Northern Provincial Secretary of the NPP and Specialist for the Ghana Coordinated Iron and Steel Advancement Enterprise, hailed the advocates and coordinators of the public wellness day.

“Staying in shape is keeping great, and as a money individual, I realise that staying in shape will decrease the wellbeing financial plan and that by itself will carry reserve funds to individuals as far as their wellbeing costs,” Alhaji Haruna said.

On his part, VP Mahamudu Bawumia, who initiated and declared the Public Wellness Day, used the occasion to encourage everyone to engage in practise in order to reduce their individual hospital expenses while increasing productivity in their respective work environments.

“Assuming we are solid in body, we are sound as a top priority; thus we need to ensure that Ghana is solid, and the public wellness day ought to assist us with building wellness and that implies improved efficiency for us,” he said.
