- Special voting in the 2024 general election will occur on Monday, December 2nd, 2024. Voting will run from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.
2. Special Voting is intended for members of security agencies, the media, and election officials who have been assigned tasks on Election Day and have applied to the Commission to be placed on the Special Voting List to vote on a Special Voting Day – December 2, 2024.
3. For the 2024 General Election, there are 328 special Voting Centers across the country, with 131,478 Voters on the Special Voting List.
4. Any voter on the Special Voting List who does not vote on the Special Voting Day is unable to vote on December 7th because they will be on the Absent Voters List at the polling station where they wish to vote.

- All voting boxes must be properly sealed and stored in a safe chamber at a police station in the constituency.
- Returning Officers must ensure that the Presiding Officers do not count ballots cast on the Special Voting Day.
- The public should disregard any publication on Special Voting Day that claims voters at any Special Voting Centre voted for a specific candidate. For emphasis, ballots cast on Special Voting Day, December 2, 2024, will not be counted at any of the 328 Special Voting Centers until Election Day, December 7, 2024.
Counting special voting ballots

- Special Voting ballots will be counted at the Constituency Collation Centre following the closure of polls on Election Day, December 7, 2024.
- The Returning Officer at the Constituency Collation Centre must record the results of the Special Voting Ballots separately on both the Presidential and Parliamentary Election Results Collation Forms.
- The results will be combined with those from all of the polling stations before the Constituency results are declared.
