Khaby Lame began creating videos after he was fired from his industrial job.
Even though he has lived in Italy since he was a child, the most famous TikTok user in the world, Khaby Lame, only got his Italian citizenship recently at the age of 22.
Lame is a well-known YouTuber with more than 148 million subscribers who was born in Senegal and raised close to Turin.
According to the Guardian newspaper, Lame, who still possessed a Senegalese passport, told the reporters that he was “extremely proud” of his new citizenship and felt “a big responsibility” for the vows he had taken.
Lame stated during the citizenship ceremony on Wednesday that he had always felt Italian. “Very little has changed,” he added, according to the Euro News website.
