The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced many planned maintenance activities that will take place this weekend and early next week to enhance infrastructure performance and service dependability in various areas of the Greater Accra Region.

The scheduled maintenance is scheduled for Saturday, May 3, Sunday, May 4, and Monday, May 5, 2025. It is anticipated that each operation will result in brief power outages in designated areas.

The scheduled maintenance hours for Saturday, May 3, are 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The power disruption is anticipated to impact the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs and its environs.

The ECG will be open for maintenance from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 4. This day will have an impact on the communities surrounding Airport Hills, Martey Tsuru, Obedibem, and Mayfair Estate.

Monday, May 5, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., is when the last scheduled maintenance will be completed. Akropong, Abiriw, Adukrom, Aperede, Dawu, Rosa Rosa, Lakeside Estate, New Legon, and the surrounding communities will be impacted.

ECG apologised for any inconvenience the maintenance may have caused in all of the notices posted on its official websites. “ECG expresses regret for any inconvenience this exercise may cause,” the company wrote.

In order to maintain the effectiveness and calibre of power supply services, ECG has emphasised the importance of these scheduled outages. Customers are urged to make appropriate plans and take the required safety measures in the impacted areas.
