“PUPILS ARE FORCED TO EVICT CLASSROOMS WHEN IT RAINS”_NANA KWABENA DUKU BEMOANS POOR STUDY SHELTER.

The Chief of Nzema Nkwanta, a community in the (Bibiani Ahwiaso Bekwai Municipality, Nana Kwabena Duku, laments over poor study structures where the pupils are forced to vacate classrooms during downpours.

Speaking with Agorohene, he urged both the government and non-governmental organizations to come to their aid immediately because they are in desperate need of JHS blocks.

Nana indicated that his outfit has severally channeled their plight to the District Assembly, and Education Directorate, but there’s no positive response.

Nana Kwabena Duku also bemoaned their toilet facility, which he said is nothing to write home about, adding that building a normal one has even been a problem as people struggle with them over land for toilet construction, so they have earmarked a place for a modern KVIP that can last for years, so they need support.

When he talked about electricity, he said that they needed extension poles to bring power to other parts of the growing community.

He said that ECG did a survey about the extension a long time ago, but the community hasn’t heard anything since then.
