Plo Lumumba Biography
Patrick Loch Otieno Lumumba, better known as PLO Lumumba, is a prominent figure in Kenyan history who is known for his fearless pursuit of justice and strong convictions in his beliefs.
PLO Lumumba is also known by his nickname, PLO. Lumumba was born on July 17, 1962, and through his work in the legal system and his efforts to combat corruption, he has left an indelible mark on Kenyan society.

Lumumba is a highly accomplished legal professional who earned both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in law from the University of Nairobi. He received honors in both of his degrees.
Plo Lumumba master’s thesis, which he wrote on the subject of national security and fundamental rights, demonstrates his expertise in the field. In addition, he has a PhD in Laws of the Sea, which he earned from the University of Ghent in Belgium.

Lumumba is a staunch Pan-Africanist, having been greatly influenced by figures such as Kwame Nkrumah, Patrice Lumumba, and Thomas Sankara, all of whom he frequently quotes in his speeches. In addition, Lumumba is a staunch supporter of the African National Congress (ANC).
Plo Lumumba has given several rousing speeches in which he has advocated for African solutions to African problems and encouraged African leaders to rise to the challenges that the continent is currently facing.

Lumumba was appointed Director of the Kenya School of Law in 2014, and he has continued to serve in that capacity up until the present.
As the leader of the organization, he has taken an active role in influencing the trajectory of legal education in Kenya’s future and providing guidance to aspiring attorneys.

Lumumba is known for his dedication to the martial arts, specifically Shotokan Karate, which he has practiced continuously since 1975. He has a third-dan black belt in the discipline, which shows how dedicated he is to both his interests outside of law and his discipline.
Plo Lumumba Controversial Circumstances
Lumumba’s job as Director of the Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission was taken away from him under very questionable circumstances, even though he had a long list of good accomplishments and was deeply committed to doing what was right.
However, he will be remembered for the rest of his life for his unflinching dedication to fighting corruption, despite the obstacles that he faced.
