Okudzeto Ablakwa Hints of More Expose’ on National Cathedral

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, a member of parliament for North Tongu, recently traveled to the United States to investigate the controversial National Cathedral project. Following his journey, he has hinted that he will provide additional information regarding what appears to be an exposé on the cathedral.

The member of parliament, who has been critical of the government for what he sees as a lack of transparency in the project, believes that he will unearth more disgusting rot in the coming days. He has been critical of the government for what he sees as a lack of transparency in the project.

Mr. Ablakwa has just returned home after concluding a nine-day trip to the United States, during which he searched for additional information regarding the project.

In his most recent revelation, he pondered why none of the notable ministers of the gospel who serve as trustees of the National Cathedral of Ghana figured in the articles of incorporation and list of trustees as filed with the authorities in the United States of America.

“I visited seven states, but for the time being I will only discuss two of them. This is part of a series. I am not done yet. What I have made available so far is only part one of what I anticipate will be approximately seven series in all.

There will be seven series in total, which means I still have six to complete. The politician stated to Bernard Avle on the Point of View program airing on Citi TV on Wednesday night that Part Two would be released on Thursday.

According to Mr. Ablakwa, his investigations allegedly found that the names of the governors and authorized individuals as included in the two-year report for domestic and foreign filing entities are Dr. Paul Opoku-Mensah, Eric Okyere Darko, and Dr. Vernon Darko. Mr. Ablakwa claims that his investigations revealed this information.

According to the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, the name National Cathedral of Ghana and Museum Foundation, Inc. is “unmistakably” different from what was incorporated in Ghana some two years earlier as the National Cathedral of Ghana, precisely on the 18th of July 2019.

Because of this, he is totally baffled as to why the government continues to lie about the construction of the National Cathedral.

“The government has shown the United States of America the same lack of transparency, underhanded dealings, and disregard for the laws.”

The Board of Trustees is obviously upset, and I fully anticipate that several members will resign. You are going to be amazed at the number of times that they even requested additional clarification.

The National Cathedral Secretariat has in the meantime denied the accusations made by Okudzeto Ablakwa.

The Secretariat released a four-page press statement in which they refuted the claims that were made by the legislator and stated that there was nothing improper taking place.

“As we have repeatedly emphasized, the National Cathedral Project has been carried out with honesty and without resorting to any illegal activity.

As was the case with the recklessly populist and reputationally damaging accusations that were made during the McCarthy era in the United States, the misinformation and distortions regarding the construction of the National Cathedral will ultimately unravel!”.

The extra information was provided by Dr. Paul Opoku-Mensah, who serves as Executive Director of the National Cathedral of Ghana.
