In the 2024 general elections, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia expressed confidence that the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) would end the 8-year electoral cycle.
Bawumia emphasised how hard the NPP government has worked.
“Let nobody mislead you; the NPP government has worked hard, he remarked, speaking to thousands of party members on a walk on Saturday, April 8 in Kwahu. No government in Ghana’s history has built more roads than the NPP.
Nogovernment in the Fourth Republic’s history has completed 5,411 classrooms or more interchanges than the NPP.
“There were only two astroturf fields in Ghana when we arrived; now there are over 80.”
“Since independence, no government has built more railroads than the NPP government.”
