The New Patriotic Party (NPP), according to Dennis Miracles Aboagye, former Communications Director for the Bawumia Campaign Team, is prepared to accept back members who share the party’s principles and goals.
In order to fortify unity before the 2028 elections, former Assin Central Member of Parliament Kennedy Agyapong called on the party to reintegrate suspended and defected members, such as Paul Afoko and Alan Kyerematen. His remarks come after Agyapong’s demand.
Speaking exclusively on Channel One Newsroom on Saturday, April 26, Mr. Aboagye emphasised that the NPP has always kept its doors open to anyone who shares its values.
“The party is willing to collaborate with anyone who shares its values, regardless of their current position or past roles within the party,” he said.
Dispelling myths regarding their status, he went on to explain that not all of the people Kennedy Agyapong identified are currently suspended.
“Everyone in the party supports this call. Although not all of the names he cited are obviously suspended, I believe the party has already shown that it is willing to welcome and bring everyone on board.
There has been no suspension of Mr. Paul Afoko from the party. He has not abandoned the NPP; he is still a member. He wasn’t suspended; the problem simply related to his current employment. The party has not suspended Alan Kyerematen; instead, he quit the party to start a new political organisation.
He explained that the party’s stance nationwide is that it is prepared to embrace anyone who is willing, prepared, and believes in the NPP’s principles.
