NDC Retains Hanna Bissiw and George Opare Addo

The National Democratic Congress, which is in opposition, has decided to keep Hanna Louisa Bissiw and George Opare Addo in their positions as national women’s organizer and national youth organizer, respectively (NDC).
.
During the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Women and Youth Congress, which took place on Saturday at the University of Cape Coast, Bissiw received 433 votes, which was more than her nearest competitor, Margaret Ansei, who received 362 votes.

Abigail Akwabea Elorm Mensah and Felicia Dzifa Tegah, who received 341 and 260 votes, respectively, were also chosen as the deputy women’s organizers of the party.

George Opare Addo, who is better known as Pablo, got 533 votes, which was enough to beat Brogya Genfi, who got 508 votes and was his closest competitor.

There were ten candidates running for the job of Deputy Youth Organizer, but when the voting closed, Osman Abdulai Ayariga and Ruth Dela Sedoh were declared the winners. They received 373 and 313 votes, respectively, and are the newly-elected deputy officers of the youth wing of the NDC.

In his speech of acceptance, Opare Addo thanked the delegates for reposing their faith in him and appealed for unity in order to effectively grab power away from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the next general elections in 2024. These elections are scheduled to take place in Ghana.

Because the NPP is our shared foe, today we have come together as the national youth of the NDC, and the direction we will be marching in is toward the Flagstaff House.
