NDC primaries: Supporters of Muntaka and Masawudu clash at Asawase

A brawl broke out between supporters of Muntaka Mubarak and Masawudu Mubarick, the latter of whom was seeking to unseat Muntaka Mubarak. Officers of the Ghana Police Service quickly brought the situation under control.

The presence of law enforcement officials kept the confusion from growing to a more dangerous level.

Supporters of Muntaka claimed that as the incumbent Member of Parliament for Asawase left the voting booth after casting his ballot, supporters of Masawudu Mubarick heckled him.

Following the claim, there was a brief brawl between the supporters in which anyone could attack anyone else.

The discovery made by the police, on the other hand, has brought an end to the chaos. While everything is going on, delegates are making their way to the center to cast their votes.
