Ernest Owusu Bempah, Deputy Communications Director for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of conspiring to make the government unpopular by orchestrating negative news coverage. This accusation was made by Ernest Owusu Bempah.

Owusu Bempah stated that the primary opposition party does not have any other solutions to the current economic issues that Ghanaians are facing.

On Thursday, February 16, he gave an interview to the media in Accra, during which he stated, “All signs point to the fact that they are on a mission to make this government very unpopular.” They are employing a tactic that is quite devilish, and it is clear that they are not looking out for the interests of Ghanaians.

Have you heard the NDC discuss other realistic alternatives to our country’s current economic situation? No. While the New Patriotic Party was in opposition, by this time we had already developed policy objectives such as free secondary education, and we had pledged to end censorship.

“That kind of answer isn’t offered by the NDC. The only thing that goes through their minds is either to sit down and allegedly stoke fire in Bawku enskinment in order to make the government unpopular, to hide behind people in order to go about picketing because there is a bond issue, or to hide behind the young youth organizer in order to come and stoke fire and say dangerous things, both of which will destroy the fine democracy that Ghana has been bequeathed with.

“When Ghanaians grow unsatisfied with the bad news about this administration, then it means the NDC is an option; that is what they are thinking, but they got it wrong. The objective of the new leadership of the NDC is only to set an agenda for a hatchet-coordinated plot to make the government unpopular.

“The people of Ghana are aware of the purpose of this government and the solution that we intend to provide for the people. We are urging the people of Ghana to become alert.
