A nationwide demonstration organized by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to protest the Electoral Commission (EC) in Kumasi escalated into violence.
Following a confrontation between the police and a group of demonstrators at the regional office of the Commission, this occurred.
This transpired subsequent to the agitated crowd’s exclusion from accompanying the NDC executives as they entered the regional office to present their petition to the Ashanti Regional EC chief as part of the Enough Is Enough protest.
An altercation ensued, leading to the destruction of barricades and the shattering of the office’s glass doors.
It has been reported that one individual sustained an injury during the procedure.
