According to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Ghana’s Vice President, the current administration of President Akufo-Addo is responsible for the creation of more long-term jobs than any other Ghanaian administration in the country’s history.

After participating in a health walk on Saturday morning, Dr. Bawumia addressed party supporters at Mpraeso and announced that the government has been responsible for the creation of 2.1 million jobs since 2017.

“When the NDC was in power, there were no jobs; in their place, they fostered an environment that encouraged people to look for work elsewhere. In contrast, the job market is booming right now.” Recently, I have been checking over the data, and it shows that we have produced 2.1 million new jobs.

This is data that can be verified and identified, and it shows that there are 975,000 people working in the commercial sector and 1.2 million working in the public sector. Because there are still more jobs that need to be created, our work here is not yet over.

But when it comes to job creation, no administration since independence has produced more jobs than the government of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. Anyone can fight me on this claim, and I will supply the evidence to back it up.

But we want to go further; we want to reach the country that has been promised to us. It is not out of the question for us to become as successful as Dubai, South Korea, or Singapore.

In the meantime, the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Frimpong Kodua, has issued a call to the people of Ghana to maintain their faith in the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government as steps are taken to resuscitate the country’s faltering economy.

After leading party members on a health walk around the main streets of Mpraeso, Mr. Kodua gave a speech in which he stated that the NPP is the only party that is able to resolve the current economic problem.

“Akufo-Addo has stated that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has the men who can turn around the economy. By the end of the year, we are positive that the economy will be in a healthy state. We just need your support because the alternative is worse: empty and hopeless.
