President Akufo-Addo confirmed the date for the 40th edition of the yearly event in a press release the Ministry issued on Saturday, October 26.

According to the statement, no regional-level celebrations will occur this year, and the national farmers’ event will occur in the Greater Accra Region.

The Ministry added, however, that every region is free to name candidates for ten different regional award categories.

“These recipients must arrive in Accra on Friday, November 8, 2024, when they will be honored at the Alisa Hotel, North Ridge, at 4:00 p.m.

“Part of this ceremony, Regional Ministers will award honourees from their respective areas,” the release said.

Furthermore, the announcement noted that all Regional Ministers and their Regional Directors of Agriculture are invited to attend the Awards Night Ceremony; so, their respective Regional Coordinating Councils would bear equally all expenses for participation.

The Ministry said, “Your presence and support will be absolutely important in celebrating and appreciating the priceless contributions of our farmers to national development.”
