The ATM welcomed Mzwanele Manyi before the 2019 elections. He had previously been an African National Congress (ANC) member for a very long time.

Mzwanele Manyi was also firmly seated in the infamous Gupta family enterprise, which has been accused of seizing the state, thanks to his strong relations with former president Jacob Zuma.

Mzwanele Manyi claimed that his choice was not a criticism of the ATM. “I believe that what the nation needs right now is shock therapy, and I believe that the EFF is the organization ready to deliver that shock therapy,” said the author.

Mzwanele Manyi announced that he would be joining the party because he shares their views on a number of issues, including the battle against corruption.

Manyi stated that South Africa was on a perilous slope and that this needed to be reversed right away in his resignation letter to the ATM.

Mzwanele Manyi continued by saying that the party had previously demonstrated its ability to hold politicians accountable. Right now, South Africa requires something like this.

In the last several years, the EFF has started a number of campaigns as part of its commitment to change. adding that he was quietly leaving the ATM.
