MP was chased out of Antwima Nwabiagya South with a machete due to bad roads.

The Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency Member of Parliament was being pursued by residents of certain communities in the Ashanti Region while carrying a machete.

On Wednesday, residents demonstrated against the legislator, Emmanuel Agyei Anhwere, because of the deplorable state of the roads.

The Wiawso-Antoakrom road was milled three years ago in preparation for rebuilding. Cars found it challenging to get through the area since the road was littered with potholes.

However, sources claim that the contractor eventually gave up on constructing the drainage systems.
Locals assert that since the year started, the contractor has not been to the site. The three communities where the MP encountered the most opposition were Kobeng, Seidi, and Amanchia.

The village chief in Amanchia missed a meeting when the MP was supposed to hear the community’s worries. But Emmanuel Agyei cautioned his supporters to be cautious.
