Salah and De Bruyne were sold to Roma and Wolfsburg, respectively, after making very few club appearances.

De Bruyne has been a pillar of the Manchester City club under Pep Guardiola, winning 21 honors between them, while Salah went on to become a star at Liverpool.

“They departed because they felt like it. They were impatient,” Jose stated on the Obi One podcast.

“Young people sometimes make snap judgments like that because they lack patience, can’t wait, or occasionally their jobs don’t work out the way they want. It went in the proper direction for them.

“I respond completely differently when people tell me that you sold Salah. I purchased Salah. Chelsea should buy him, I said. He was heading to Liverpool from Basel, and I waged a full-scale battle to get him to come to Chelsea.

“Probably other guys I have pushed out, but not them.”
