Mahama swears in six new ministers

President John Mahama swore in six ministerial nominees.

This is by their parliamentary approval on Tuesday, January 21, following their appearance before the Appointments Committee.

The ceremony at the Jubilee House marked the official start of their tenures in crucial government offices.

The nominees for the first round of appointments authorized include Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson as Minister of Finance, Dr. Dominic Ayine as Attorney General, and John Jinapor as Minister of Energy and Green Transition.

The others are Haruna Iddrisu, Minister of Education, Eric Opoku, Minister of Food and Agriculture, and Governor Kwame Agbodza, Minister of Roads and Highways.

The appointees underwent thorough scrutiny and debate in Parliament before being approved for their respective positions.

Mahama expressed confidence in their capacities to deliver on their responsibilities, emphasizing the importance of their portfolios in driving national growth.
