President John Mahama appointed his third round of ministers, according to a press statement published by the Presidency on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Mahama’s spokesperson, signed the statement, which underlines the presence of important persons in various ministries as part of his new cabinet.
Notable appointments include Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, nominated as Minister of Defence, and Samuel Nartey George, who will lead the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations.
Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, a seasoned politician, has been appointed Minister of Lands and Natural Resources.
Kofi Adams has been appointed to the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, while Abdul-Rashid H. Pelpuo will lead the Ministry of Labour, Jobs, and Employment.
Kwabena Mintah Akandoh will be the Minister of Health, and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has been nominated as the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
These nominations are considered strategic decisions to bolster Mahama’s administration with experienced and capable professionals who would drive national progress in their respective fields.
