Mahama has no policy after 30 years in politics – Bawumia

After spending more than 30 years of his entire life in Ghana’s political arena, vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia claims that former president John Dramani Mahama lacks even a single transformational policy to his name.

Dr. Bawumia says that, unlike the NDC, the NPP has taken some steps that have helped and continue to help the vast majority of Ghanaians.

The Vice President said Mr. Mahama will be fondly remembered by Ghanaians for the power crisis [dumsor] and the Guinea fowls that were never recovered under the SADA project while speaking to party supporters at Mpraeso following a health walk on Saturday morning.

“Did you realise that John Mahama has spent his whole adult life in politics? 30 years or more. He has held various positions, including assemblyman, deputy minister, minister, vice president, and president. But can you name just one game-changing policy he has put in place?

“Just mention one, but there are none, only Dumsor and Guinea fowl, that is all, but with the NPP we have one district, one factory, digital addresses, free SHS, the zongo constituency fund, there is so much we have done,” the speaker said.

The Akufo-Addo administration, according to Dr. Bawumia, has produced more sustainable jobs than any other administration in Ghana’s history.

“There were no jobs under the NDC regime because it produced more unemployment than jobs, but now jobs are available everywhere.” I recently checked the numbers, and we have added 2.1 million jobs.

According to reliable data, there are 1.2 million people working in the public sector and 975,000 in the private sector. There are still more jobs to be created, so we are not finished yet.

However, no government since independence has produced more jobs than that of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. If anyone questions this claim, I will present the statistics.

However, we desire to accomplish more in order to reach the promised land. It is conceivable for us to be like Dubai, South Korea, or Singapore.
