President John Dramani Mahama has nominated 15 individuals for ambassadorial and consular roles, including the legendary actress Kalsoume Sinare and former Member of Parliament Nii Amasah Namoale.
The nominations, which follow deliberations with the Council of State, are the first such appointments since President Mahama took office in January 2025. The list was presented in a letter from the President’s Office to the Minister of Foreign Affairs dated June 10, 2025.
Kalsoume Sinare, a well-known figure in Ghana’s creative arts business, has been nominated as Ghana’s ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain.
Nii Amasah Namoale, a seasoned politician and former MP for La Dadekotopon, has been appointed Ambassador to the Federative Republic of Brazil by Ghana. His appointment is likely to strengthen Ghana’s links with Latin America’s largest economy, as he is known for his grassroots mobilisation skills and strong party connections.
