Nana Osei Bonsu, the Kyidomhene of Brofoyedru in the Mampong Municipality of the Ashanti area, was killed by unidentified assailants.
Although the reason for the incident is still unknown, the chief’s lifeless body was discovered on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
Before his car on the Boanim-Morim stretch, he was discovered lying down, face covered in blood.
Nana Osei Bonsu left his wife to bring some belongings he owned to their owner, according to Adusei Poku of KAS FM, an affiliate of Adom News.
According to reports, the chief was shot at close range from his occiput after being dragged out of his car with a temporary license plate, leaving a serious wound.
Nothing was taken from him, except for his cell phones, which the attackers allegedly destroyed.
The body has been placed in the mortuary of the Mampong Government Hospital while the circumstances surrounding the horrific murder are investigated.
