After a goalless draw in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium, the Falcons of Jediane defeated Ghana 2-0 in Libya, taking them in a pole position of qualifying for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) under his guidance.

With seven points, Sudan is in second place in Group F, three points behind Angola. They are only one draw away from guaranteeing their place in the AFCON with two games left.

With 10 points after four games, the team is also two points ahead of Senegal in their 2026 World Cup qualification Group B.

Former Ghanaian national team coach Kwesi Appiah will face off against a number of well-known names for the Coach of the Year award, including Emerse Fae, Hugo Broos, Pedro Gonçalves, and Jose Gomes.

Morocco is scheduled to host the CAF Awards event in the middle of December.
