Kojo Oppong Nkrumah Finally Replies Prof. Frimpong Boateng; Check it out

The former environment minister named him as one of the government officials involved in illegal mining, and the information minister claims he is “utterly disappointed” in him.

In a letter in response to a report Prof. Frimpong Boateng submitted to the presidency, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah requested that the surgeon “kindly leave me out of his personal fights.”

When he was Environment Minister, Prof. Boateng supplied the names of those in government who were impeding his attempts to combat what is known locally as “galamsey.”

Prof. Boateng’s 36-page letter to the president, the chief of staff, and the police describes his dissatisfaction with the obstacles officials put in the way of his efforts to put an end to Galamsey.

Like many Ghanaians, I have developed a deep regard and admiration for him through the years. I have no choice but to reveal the lies he spread about me in his report, as hard as it is for me to do so, because if I don’t, some people might believe him and base their decisions on his utterly contrived and fraudulent narrative. Consequently, I must react without delay and without hesitation,” the Ofoase Ayeribi MP remarked.

According to Mr. Oppong Nkrumah, Prof. Boateng mentions him three times in his document.

“First, he asserts that an anonymous caller informed him that Kojo Oppong Nkrumah had convened a gathering of NPP and NDC journalists on February 8th, 2020, at Dodowa to discuss a plan to assassinate him (Professor Boateng). He implies that this is the reason why he has since received unfavorable media coverage.

He asserts that I began my briefing to the cabinet on February 13, 2020, with a report on Frimpong Boateng and the missing excavators. He gives off the feeling that this briefing to the cabinet was intended to be an evil attack on him.

Thirdly, he asserts that I cited the impact of the campaign against illegal mining on the NPP’s performance during media interviews after the 2020 elections. Once more, he gives the impression that this was a cunning attempt to pin the NPP’s success in some mining villages on him.
