I wanted to sue them – KiDi on rumours of Stroke

The musician KiDi has said, while he was facing his health issues, he was inclined to sue bloggers who posted false news about him, stating that he had suffered a stroke.

During an appearance on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, he mentioned that dealing with the rumours was an unpleasant experience for him, his family, his friends, and the brands that he works with. He added that an unnamed source had spread the allegations.

The singer mentioned that when the rumour first surfaced, he immediately turned to social media, only to discover that it had already been disseminated widely.

He mentioned that he received an excessive number of calls, one of which was from his mother, with whom he had just finished a chat. He needed to reassure both his mother and the other people who had called, concerned about him.

“When it happened, I called Richie, the Chief Executive Officer of Lynx Entertainment, and asked, How many times or for how long will these things happen, and we will say it is nothing?’ “How much longer will we have to continue acting in this manner?

As you can clearly see, a lot of people are taking advantage of the situation. It is clear that some kind of action needs to be taken,” stated KiDi.

The creator of the hit song “Adiepena” mentioned that after having some conversations on the way forward, he decided to abandon the legal action and not feed too much into the negative news.

This comes as a result of KiDi’s cancellation of his North American tour back in February, which was scheduled to begin in March 2023.

When explaining to his followers why the tour had to be postponed, KiDi mentioned that the decision had to be made because of certain health problems; however, he did not go into further detail.

Because of this, people began to make assumptions about his health, with some going so far as to disseminate rumours that he was suffering from a stroke.

Richie Mensah, who works for Lynx Entertainment, laughed off the rumours and referred to the claims as clickbait.

KiDi made his first public appearance at the 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), shortly after returning to social media in April and releasing a new tune named “I Lied.” KiDi also made his first public appearance in April.

In a previous interview with Lynx TV, KiDi referred to that time period as “one of the toughest moments” in his life, stating that he never in a million years imagined that someone would “cook up” such a story without any proof whatsoever.
