Substantial donations have been made to assist the residents of Ketu South in response to the recent tidal waves that have devastated the towns.

Roads and Highways Minister Kwame Governs Agbodza has made significant donations, donating 250 bags of 25kg rice, 50 cartons of oil, and 1000 bags of sachet water.

These critical supplies are intended to provide immediate aid to individuals in need.

Business magnate Ibrahim Mahama has also made a significant donation of GHS 100,000, proving his dedication to alleviating the situation of the afflicted residents.

The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) has also offered a variety of humanitarian products to help displaced residents meet their basic necessities.

President John Dramani Mahama made this public during his visit to Agavedzi on Thursday, March 6, to evaluate the damage caused by the tidal waves.

President Mahama told the victims that their MP and Minister for Tourism, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, who was out of the country on a national assignment, would ensure the distribution of the things upon her arrival over the weekend.

Meanwhile, the Volta Caucus MPs gave a further GHS100,000 to the relief operations.

A private lawyer has donated GHS10,000 to aid with the continuing relief and recovery efforts.
