JUST IN: Ghanaian comedy star C Confion passes away

Up-and-coming Bright Owusu, also known as C Confion, a Ghanaian comedian, died following a serious illness. Fans grieve the loss of a rising star.

Bright Owusu, the renowned actor known by fans as C Confion, died tonight, dimming Ghana’s thriving comedy scene.

The news of his death on December 20, 2024 circulated swiftly, leaving colleagues and fans devastated.

He was a rising star who shone brightly as part of Dr. Likee’s (Akabenezer) comedy company, was suffering a serious illness.

Just days before, on December 18th, Akabenezer Productions issued a statement indicating that C Confion was receiving therapy at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. While acknowledging the severity of his health, the statement also expressed hope and asked supporters to pray for him.

While the cause of death is unknown, C Confion’s untimely demise has surely left a vacuum in the hearts of many. His ability and humorous timing elicited laughter and joy from audiences.
