The trial for Jonathan Majors, who is charged with domestic abuse, has been moved to September 6, as a result of a request made by prosecutors from the city’s District Attorney’s Office for additional time to prepare evidence.
According to the Associated Press, the actor from Creed III arrived at Manhattan Criminal Court on Thursday with his girlfriend, Meagan Good, marking his second in-person court appearance on charges stemming from an arrest in New York City earlier this year. The accusations arise from the actor’s alleged involvement in a fight that occurred earlier this year.

On March 25, officers responded to a complaint that had been placed at 911 by a lady who claimed that the actor had assaulted her. The woman was found to have suffered relatively minor injuries to her head and neck, according to the authorities. Following his detention earlier that day, Majors was later freed from custody by the authorities.
Priya Chaudhry, the attorney for Majors, submitted a motion to postpone the trial, citing the fact that the prosecution was not turning over evidence in a timely manner as the reason for her request.
She addressed the issue of her client’s innocence by stating, “For an agonising four months, Jonathan Majors, the real victim in this horrible event, has had his life, career, and reputation torn away. Nevertheless, he has not wavered in his resolve to be cleared of blame in connection with this terrifying incident.
Doug Cohen, a spokesman for Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, said in a statement that the office released, “We look forward to presenting the full facts and evidence at trial.”
The entertainer, who is 33 years old, faces a maximum sentence of one year in prison if he is found guilty of the minor charges of assault and harassment.
During the months that followed his arrest, Majors was let go from both the PR team at The Lede Company and the management company Entertainment 360.
The Army Enterprise Marketing Office also cancelled an advertisement campaign for the United States Army that featured the actor.
The new teaser for season two of Loki, in which Majors will reprise his role as the Marvel villain Kang the Conqueror, featured Majors, and he did appear in the trailer.
