Why Joe Mettle has refused to collaborate with secular artists

Multiple awards winner Gospel musician Joe Mettle has made it known that he is unwilling to pursue collaborations with secular artists.

The “Kadosh” singer discussed his choice to decline rapper Sarkodie’s request of collaboration in a Hitz FM interview, claiming spiritual direction as his justification.

Joe Mesttle said that he has also been contacted by other secular artists, most notably Manifest, about possible collaborations, but he has firmly turned them down out of loyalty to his moral principles.

“This exchange of words over again? Sarkodie did indeed discuss it. I’ll tell you straight up: I don’t want to open the door to working with secular artists.

When the spirit permits you to carry out specific tasks, he has a reason for it, but until then… “And I think by principle… You know I have so many friends that if you do one, you have to do it for everyone.

“Yes, Manifest. He is my brother, but he has been calling me out a lot on the radio because of this. Maybe when the time comes or I get the release, I will do it. But that spirit has to bear witness with mine,” he said.

The conversation about Joe Mettle collaborating with secular artists has been simmering, with the public eagerly seeking to know his stance. His answer has always been consistent with his Christian principles of seeking guidance from the Holy Spirit.
