President John Dramani Mahama has informed the people of the Eastern Region—and Ghanaians in general—of his steadfast commitment to fulfilling all campaign pledges.
President Mahama expressed deep thanks for the support he received during the 2024 elections to a big crowd at Koforidua Jackson Park on Sunday, July 20, as part of his “Thank You Tour” and vowed not to let the people down.
“Thanks for the warm reception,” he told the enthusiastic crowd. “I pledge not to let you down because you have put your trust in me by choosing me President again. With God’s blessing, we shall keep all of our pledges to the Eastern Region and Ghanaians as a whole.”
The ceremony in Koforidua was a crucial stop on Mahama’s post-election tour, which aimed to thank voters, reiterate his administration’s policies, and establish ties with communities around the country. Supporters and provincial party executives gathered in large numbers, singing party chants and waving National Democratic Congress (NDC) banners.
Mahama’s words echoed his broader message of unity, inclusive development, and a fresh emphasis on infrastructure, education, job creation, and health services, which he highlighted during the 2024 campaign.
Local officials and traditional authorities who attended the gathering praised the President’s commitment and called for immediate attention to the region’s development concerns, such as road infrastructure and young unemployment.
