Lotto winner: Hunt on for mystery WA Lotto millionaire as another wins big

One lucky Lotto player from Western Australia won division one on Wednesday night’s draw, adding their name to the state’s growing list of Lotto millionaires.

The player from Burswood was one of two major winners from all throughout Australia who would each walk away with $1 million in prize money.

The announcement was made when a spokesman for Lotterywest named Emma Rogers disclosed that they were still waiting for another Wednesday Lotto winner from the month of March to come forward and claim their prize.

“WA players should check their wallets, car consoles, or wherever else they might have stashed a Lottery ticket if they’ve purchased from Jackpot Lottery Centre in Mirrabooka,” Ms. Rogers said. “If they’ve bought a ticket from Jackpot Lottery Centre in Mirrabooka, they could be a winner.”

The Wednesday Lottery prize of one million dollars that was awarded in March 2023 has not been claimed.

Nine people in West Australia have matched the winning numbers for the Wednesday Lottery Division One this year.

Tyson Wellman, who works at the Burswood Lucky Lottery Centre, which is the location where the winning ticket was purchased, expressed his joy at being a part of the winning ticket.

“The staff and I are so excited,” added Tyson.

After having previously sold a winning share in a Lotto syndicate, we have now successfully purchased our very first stand-alone Division One ticket.
