Government Intervention Caused the Reduction of Diesel and Petrol Prices – Nana B

According to the New Patriotic Party organizer, Henry Nana Boakye, the reduction in the price of fuel that took place on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, was a direct intervention by the government through the Bank of Ghana to make enough foreign currency available to players in the petroleum import market.
At the pump, the price of diesel was decreased by GHC3, and the price of petrol was reduced by GHC1, but the price of LPG increased.

Nana B highlighted that, It is important to remember that one of the 12 measures that President Akufo-Addo emphasized in his most recent address to the nation was to work toward stabilizing the prices of petroleum products through new supply arrangements. This was one of the ways that he planned to combat the rising cost of living that he outlined in his speech.

According to Nana B, who is fondly referred to by this nickname, the measure has started producing fruits, and we hope that external variables that impact gasoline costs will not erode the gains that are being made in a consistent way.

Nana B advised Ghanaians to “keep hope alive and support the administration to discreetly stem the tide of the current global double crises.” He said that Ghanaians should keep hope alive and assist the government.
