The Ghana School Feeding Program (GSFP) announced that all of the program’s caterers nationwide will have their contracts immediately terminated.

The GSFP directed that no existing caterer should serve meals for the third term of the 2024–2025 school year in an official notice dated May 2, 2025.

“Please be advised that all Ghana School Feeding Program (GSFP) caterers nationally have had their contracts terminated with immediate effect.

As a result, no current program caterer is permitted to prepare meals during the third term of the 2024–2025 school year,” the statement said.

Affected caterers were given assurances by the Secretariat that they would get payment for the second term. “All outstanding arrears for the second term of the 2024/2025 academic year will be paid in due course,” added the statement.

Additionally, the GSFP stated that new hiring procedures will be released shortly and that this decision is a component of a larger reorganisation process.

“The GSFP Secretariat, as part of its ongoing restructuring exercise, will soon announce the modalities for the recruitment of new caterers for the programme,” said the announcement.
